  • Brunette Wine Bar - an all-time favorite; everything is perfect

  • Eliza - fresh and precise flavors

  • Chleo - we had a date night here once and it did not disappoint 

  • Restaurant Kinsley - restaurant and bar for Hotel Kinsley; good martinis and also where we took some of our engagement photos!

  • Lola - excellent pizza with fresh ingredients

  • Top Taste Restaurant - 10/10 Jamaican cuisine, James Beard-nominated best chefs in NY state; try the oxtail!

  • Rosie General - good coffee, great sandwiches

  • Unicorn Bar - fun music, karaoke, queer vibes

  • Sweet Maresa's - delicious little bakery

  • Pinkerton's Bakery - truly excellent pastries

Hudson

  • Lil Deb's Oasis - another forever favorite, Latin-Caribbean food, really gay

  • Cafe Mutton​ - breakfast & lunch absolutely worth the wait; try the seasonal porridge

  • The Hereafter - cocktails for while you wait for Lil Deb's, but their food is snappy and great, too

  • Feast and Floret - Italian cuisine done to perfection

  • The Tavern at Rivertown Lodge - good food, good cocktails

  • Hudson Roastery - yummy coffee in a pretty space

  • MOTO Coffee/Machine - also yummy coffee but in a motorcycle shop

  • Hudson Diner - classic diner experience; be prepared to a adopt a cat at the shelter next door

  • Stissing House (Pine Plain) - a 1700s inn, a bit of a drive but really special for romantic evening

  • Morningbird (Kinderhook) - breakfast and coffee with unique flavors in a cute, small town

  • The Aviary (Kinderhook) - farm-to-table, need a reservation!

  • Hemlock (Catskill) - cozy bar with great burgers and cocktails
